Medical tests help you know the overall health status and monitor diseases and conditions you might face in future. It gives you clue of how the body is functioning and if it requires any special treatment.

1. Fibrinogen

Fibrinogen is a glycoprotein that circulates in the blood. Fibrinogen test measures the level of fibrinogen in the blood and it also helps to find out if you are suffering from bleeding or blood clotting disorder. It is made and secreted into the liver. When there is bleeding in the body fibrinogen is released from the liver. An increased fibrinogen can form clots inside the blood vessel and these clots can travel to the brain, leading to severe complications. High fibrinogen level can be associated with cancer, stroke, infection etc. and low fibrinogen value can be associated with liver disease, malnutrition, congenital blood clotting disorder etc..

2. Vitamin B-12

It is essential for good health and in order to make enough red blood cells and for the proper functioning of nervous system, our body needs a good level of this vitamin. It is also known as cobalamin and it is involved in the metabolism of every cell of the human body. 4. Hemoglobin A1C

Hemoglobin A1C measures the average level of blood sugar in the past three months and it has been said that A1C is the best test to diagnose prediabetes. People who suffer from diabetes should get this test done frequently in order to monitor if the diabetes treatment plan is working properly. Hemoglobin in blood carries oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body. When glucose builds up in the body it ties up with the hemoglobin which is present in the red blood cells. This test helps in minimizing the risk of any future complications due to an increased glucose level.

5. DHEA

DHEA stands for dehydroepiandrosterone. It is the circulating steroid hormone in humans and it is produced in the adrenal glands, the gonads, and the brain. It helps in the making of hormones such as testosterone in men and estrogen in women. Without adequate production of DHEA in the body, the production of testosterone and estrogen falls in men and women. This test helps you know if the production of DHEA is enough in the body or not. It is also responsible for the androgenic effects of adrenarche which is an early sexual maturation stage such as early pubic, adult type body odour, acne etc..

6. Homocysteine

It is the non-proteinogenic amino acid and high level of homocysteine in the blood increases the risk of endothelial cell injury which further leads to inflammation of the blood cell. It is associated with early development of heart disease.  It is also linked to health issues related to the brain. Tests to check the level of homocysteine can help you know any future health issues.
