6 Possible Reasons For Extreme Tiredness
Fatigue or feeling extremely tired is a condition in which person feels weak, exhausted, emotionally and mentally drained. The level of feeling tired varies from person to person and it also depends on the reason for the extreme tiredness. Everyone feels tired of doing any physical activity but they become okay once they take some rest. One of the most common reasons for feeling constantly tired even after doing rest or taking good sleep is iron deficiency anemia. Iron deficiency anemia is of the type of anemia which occurs when the body’s demand is greater than the supply. Anemia is a blood disorder and blood is the vital part of the body. Blood carries all the essential components of the body, regulate body temperature, fight infections and helps in many other important functions of the body. If any disorder occurs in blood it throws impact on the overall health and the quality of life. Anemia usually refers to the condition in which the blood has lower than the normal level of red blood cells.
Tiredness and feeling depressed are the common signs of hypothyroidism or underactive thyroid. Hypothyroidism is a disorder of the endocrine system and it is a condition in which thyroid glands don’t produce enough thyroid hormone. Very little iodine in the diet is the most common cause of hypothyroidism. If hypothyroidism is the reason for the constant tiredness then you are more likely to put on some weight, dry skin, muscle weakness etc.. These are some other symptoms of hypothyroidism. Usually, hypothyroidism id suffered by middle aged or older people but it can develop in anyone, including infants. Even infants can suffer from a condition in which the thyroid glands are not working properly.
Chronic fatigue syndrome is a condition of long term fatigue or in simpler terms, it is a condition in which person feels extremely tired to even carry out daily activities. This condition is also known as myalgic encephalomyelitis. Apart from tiredness, there are many other symptoms of this disease as well such as a sore throat, irritable bowel syndrome, headache, night sweat etc.. The symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome varies from person to person. One person might lead a normal life while suffering from this disease whereas the other might be bedridden or are unable to even take care of themselves.

If it is not treated, it can lead to the damage of heart and can further lead to many complications. Tiredness, fever, joint pain, and headache are some of the symptoms of this disease. Glandular fever is the health problem which is usually faced by teenagers and young adults. It is a virus that is transmitted through saliva and can pass on to people through kissing, sneezing, coughing etc.. Tiredness and lack of energy is the very first symptom that person notices when they suffer from glandular fever. Other common symptoms of glandular fever include high fever, severe sore throat, swollen glands in the neck etc.. These symptoms might clear up after few weeks but tiredness takes months to clear up. If you are suffering from glandular fever then you should avoid the consumption of alcohol as this disease weakens the liver and alcohol may worsen the condition.
6. Sleep Apnea
Sleep apnea is a major sleep disorder in which person notices breathing problem and shallow breathing during sleep. It is a condition in which person feels tired even after taking a sleep. Excessive daytime sleepiness, loud snoring, dry mouth, morning headache etc are some of the symptoms of sleep apnea.
