Heartburn is not a new or unknown problem. In fact, it is one of the most common problems that everyone has experienced at some point. Heartburn is considered to be the most common symptom of a condition which is commonly known as acid reflux. Acid reflux occurs when the stomach acid rises up to the esophagus which can lead to the occurrence of pain and inflammation.

Heartburn is characterized by the burning sensation in the chest and throat which occur when the acid backs up from the stomach to the throat. Most often, the symptoms of heartburn worsen when one lies down or bend over.

4. Fennel
