What is Careprost
Careprost eye drops aid in the treatment of Glaucoma and other eye disorders.
Bimatoprost is the active ingredient in these eye drops.
The drops come in 0.03% concentrations packed in a 3 ml bottle.
Sun Pharmaceuticals produces this eyelash serum.
Uses of Careprost
Careprost eye drops are used to address the following medical conditions:
Glaucoma
Damage to the optic nerves is the underlying cause of this eye disorder. As it advances, it causes increasing loss of Retinal Ganglion cells and irreversible blindness.
Ocular Hypertension
It is an eye disorder marked by elevated intraocular pressure. It also accounts for the first symptoms of Glaucoma.
Hypotrichosis
Eyes with Hypotrichosis have much less eyelash hair than usual. Careprost eyedrops help to prevent damage and help eyelashes to grow better.
How Careprost works
Bimatoprost is the active ingredient in Careprost.
It reduces the Intraocular pressure in the eyes by increasing the outflow of aqueous humor.
Aqueous humor is a watery fluid present in the anterior chamber of the eye.
Careprost also serves as an eyelash serum by promoting the growth of new eyelash hair.
Thus, it aids in the treatment of eyelash Hypotrichosis.
Dosage
Careprost contains the Glaucoma-treating active component Bimatoprost 0.03%.
How To Use Careprost
Keep the eyedropper close to your eye. Gently squeeze the dropper and apply the medication to the affected eye.
Use a clean cloth to absorb any excess fluids.
For Hypotrichosis of the eyes, use Careprost eyelash serum close to the upper lash line once a day.
Missed Dose
Use this eyedrop at the prescribed time, as instructed by the physician.
If you miss a dose of Careprost, it as soon as you recall.
However, if the next dose is already close, skip the missed one.
Overdose
Do not overdose on this medicine to avoid adverse consequences.
In event of an overdose, consult your practitioner if the problem persists.
If you use multiple medicines, always allow 5 to 10 minutes between eye prescriptions to prevent drug dilution.
