Strength

What are the medical uses of Ivecop AB Tablet?

It is used in the treatment of the following health conditions:

1. Cutaneous Larva Migrans:

It is a parasitic skin infection caused by hookworm larvae that often infest dogs, cats, and other animals. Humans can be infected with the larvae while walking barefoot on sandy beaches or coming in contact with moist, soft soil that has been infected with animal feces.

2. Giardiasis:

It is a parasitic infection caused due to Giardia Duodenalis (also called G. lamblia and G. intestinalis). Some people with giardiasis experience no symptoms at all. When symptoms occur, they might include abdominal pain, diarrhea, and weight loss.

3. Hydatid Disease:

It is a potentially serious and sometimes even life-threatening condition that is caused by cysts comprising the larval stages of the Echinococcus granulosus tapeworm. When the cysts grow in size, they may cause certain symptoms, including cough, weakness, nausea, stomach pain or chest pain, etc.

4. Lymphatic Filariasis:

It is a tropical, parasitic disease that’s caused by microscopic, thread-like worms. It affects the lymph nodes and lymph vessels and is usually asymptomatic. Rarely, long-term damage to the lymph system may lead to swelling in the arms, legs, and genitalia. It also elevates the risk of frequent bacterial infections that thicken and harden the skin (elephantiasis).

5. Microsporidiosis:

It is a disease caused by small parasites called microsporidia. Microsporidiosis often causes no symptoms in healthy people but can cause chronic diarrhea, infection of the sinuses or eyes, and kidney disease in people with impaired immune systems.

6. Neurocysticercosis:

It is a preventable parasitic infection of the central nervous system and is caused by the pork tapeworm Taenia Solium. Humans can become infected after consuming raw or undercooked foods, especially pork, or water contaminated with tapeworm eggs, or through inadequate hygiene practices.

7. Onchocerciasis:

It is a parasitic infection that affects the skin and the eyes. Onchocerciasis is common in people who live in remote African areas. People who travel or volunteer in such regions are also at significant risk. Infected people may experience certain symptoms, including severe itching, skin changes, eye infections, and vision changes.

8. Scabies:

Scabies is an infectious, intensely itchy skin condition caused by a tiny, burrowing mite. It is contagious and might quickly spread through close physical contact in school, family, or nursing home. One of the primary symptoms of scabies is intense itching in the area where the mites burrow.

9. Strongyloidiasis:

It is a chronic parasitic infection of humans caused by Strongyloides stercoralis. In around 50% of all cases, Strongyloidiasis usually causes no symptoms at all. When symptoms are present, people may experience a rash, red hives, vomiting, cough, diarrhea, upper abdominal pain or inflammation, weight loss, etc.

10. Trichinosis:

Trichinosis, also called trichinellosis, is a parasitic disease caused by roundworms of the Trichinella type. During the initial infection, invasion of the intestines can lead to abdominal pain, diarrhea, and vomiting.

Working of Ivecop AB Tablet

It contains two active ingredients Ivermectin and Albendazole. Ivermectin works by linking to the nerve and muscle cells of worms, causing their paralysis and eventually death.
